World Mental Health Day is an annual awareness day, which is celebrated every year on 10 October around the world to raises people’s awareness about mental health issues and advocacy against social stigma. History of World Mental Health Day World Mental Health Day was first held in 1992 as an initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health. It is a global mental health organization which has in more than 150 countries members and contacts. Every year the United Nations with the World Health Organization participate in World Mental Health Day events to promote. About 12 percent of the world’s population or around 450 million or one out of any four around the globe is affected by a mental problem. By the stats of 2002, the World Health Organization disclosed that 154 million people around the world suffer from depression. It is the form of a mental problem. World Mental Health Day is described as a purpose of well-being in which people perceive their potential, can manage to normal life depression, can work profitably, and can also contribute to their locality work, according to the World Health Organization. Mental health is producing due to the lack of services for human and financial resources in many countries of the world. It is, particularly in the low and middle-income countries. More awareness is needed to prevent this disease. The theme of World Mental Health Day The celebration of World Mental Health Day is held each year with a specific theme.
